House in Akasakadai is a minimalist residence located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by Kumi Inoue Architects. The building is surrounded on three sides by residential structures, and sits on a square site. As a result, the architects created a sloping roof in order to form a contrast between itself and the adjacent buildings. The interior consists of double-height ceilings for the main living area with an upstairs lofted space overlooking the main floor.
