FOLD is a minimal chair and mirror designed by Los Angeles-based studio Estudio Persona. In the latest collection, the selection of materials was critical, shaping the designs with functionality and form in mind. The design incorporated gentle, wave-like folds that added subtle patterns, enhancing the structural integrity of the mirror and highlighting the framework of the chair. The pieces were arranged to give an illusion of levitation and melting, introducing a subtle distortion of reality aimed at engaging and challenging the viewer. This deliberate design choice fostered a connection between the observer and the objects, inviting a reevaluation of the familiar forms through a lens of altered perception.
