Jellyfish Lamp is a minimalist lamp designed by South Korea-based studio Form of Things. The Jellyfish Lamp reflects the studio’s commitment to minimalist design, capturing the essence of its materials without unnecessary embellishment. It employs a combination of aluminum and opaque acrylic plates, materials chosen for their cool properties, yet paradoxically, the lamp manages to exude a warm ambiance thanks to the color and quality of the light it emits. Durability and aesthetic appeal are ensured through the use of anodizing techniques on the aluminum components, resulting in a finish that is not only resistant to wear but also features a subtle, matte texture.

The lighting intensity can be customized to suit any environment, courtesy of a dimmer switch developed by Ilkwang, a leading name in the Korean lighting industry. Named for its resemblance to the marine creature, the Jellyfish Lamp boasts a design where four aluminum legs extend outward, supporting an acrylic panel that diffuses light in a manner reminiscent of a jellyfish’s ethereal glow. The product line includes two variations: one designed for floor placement and another as a table lamp, catering to a range of lighting needs with a focus on mood and ambiance.
